There have been many criticisms online as of late regarding many of the newer additions to the AEW roster. CM Punk has been getting loads of criticism about his booking, as has Bryan Danielson, but perhaps none of them were as harsh as some of the criticisms that Adam Cole received, and really the criticisms were geared more towards AEW than Cole himself, as it was his booking that came under heavy fire.
Cole, who jumped ship from WWE’s NXT earlier this year, was king of that domain, and many felt that the way he has been utilized thus far is not becoming of the legacy he has already built for himself.
Cole took the criticisms to heart, as did Tony Khan, who came to Cole’s and the booking of Cole’s defense over social media a little while ago. Cole sat down and spoke on Rasslin’ with Brandon F. Walker to discuss the criticisms and just how people are essentially jumping the gun, as this is all headed in a great direction for Cole and AEW.

For the record, he is not the least bit worried about his booking, and there’s very good reason for that, it would seem. He said:
“For anyone who is concerned, just look at kind of where we are going. I am a member of The Elite, the number one heel faction in all of AEW. Between the matches that I’ve had with guys like Jungle Boy and the PPV match that we had, I’ve gone face-to-face with “Hangman” Adam Page before. There are things that are happening to Adam Cole that I promise people are going to be very satisfied with, very, very happy with…
At the end of the day, whether it’s Ring Of Honor, whether it’s Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, whether it’s NXT, or whether it is AEW. I always end up becoming the guy. I promise you, this isn’t going to be any different, I promise you. So nobody has anything to worry about because I’m Adam Cole, bay bay.”

So patience is the key, as the old Guns N’ Roses song says, as it takes time to build the stories in professional wrestling that stand the test of time in our hearts and in our minds…the ones we never really ever forget.
“Said ‘woman take it slow, and it’ll work itself out fine’ All we need is just a little patience Said ‘sugar make it slow and we’ll come together fine’ All we need is just a little patience (Patience) Mm, yeah…”

Jack Evans extorted by Mexican Police
Jack Evans took to Twitter to let everyone know that he was being extorted by Mexican police. He lives in Mexico City, as webisjericho.com reports, and the tweet was a shock to all of his followers for obvious reason.
The AEW star took to his Twitter account to protect himself in a sense, when he saw where the whole ordeal was going. Good thinking on his part. He said in the tweets:
“This will sound like a fake message but it is not. I am currently being extorted by 2 police officers from the Del Valle Police Department in Mexico City. In the last 4 days I have had to pay around 7000 pesos (350$ American) and I am not paying more…
So if I get arrested on drug charges in the next little bit I want to put it out there right now that it was planted by the Del Valle Police Department.”

Dealing with Mexican police is obviously no joke, and as the aforementioned report also mentions, there is a massive history behind its reputation of being a corrupt establishment. No news yet as to just where this went after the incident and messages, but we’ll stay on it and keep you posted should more news arise.
