AEW Changed Finish To Women’s Title Match At Revolution

This past Sunday’s AEW Revolution PPV Event featured a stacked card from top to bottom, including the AEW Women’s World Championship Match, which ended with Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. successfully retaining her AEW Women’s World Championship over Thunder Rosa due to Jamie Hayter and Rebel interfering in the match and that would lead to Baker hitting the Stomp on Rosa for the win.

Fightful Select reports that the match finish was changed several times by AEW officials, but there’s no word yet on why that is the case, though the company is already setting up a rematch between Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa for the St. Patrick’s Day Slam episode of Dynamite on March 16th, which is set to take place in Thunder Rosa’s hometown of San Antonio.

Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite from the Hertz Arena in Estero, Florida will see Thunder Rosa go up against Leyla Hirsch in an AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Match, with the winner earning a title shot from Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. and if Rosa does come out of the match as the winner, then we could see her walk out of the March 16th episode of Dynamite as the new AEW Women’s World Champion.
