AEW Dynamite Viewership Down Big For Wednesday’s Episode

Last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was able to draw a total of 939,000 viewers, while last Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite was able to draw a total of 761,000 viewers, reports Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

This total is down 18.95% from last week’s AEW Dynamite, which drew a rating of 0.28 in the key 18-49 demo. Last Wednesday’s 0.28 rating is down 17.64% from last week’s 0.34 rating in the key 18-49 demo. Last Wednesday’s 0.28 rating in the 18-49 key demographic represents 365,000 viewers that watched AEW Dynamite last Wednesday from that demo. This is down 17.79% from last week’s 444,000 total viewers in the 18-49 key demo.

Last Wednesday’s live episode of AEW Dynamite from the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri featured Chris Jericho facing Ortiz in a Hair vs. Hair Match, Toni Storm battling Dr. Britt Baker in a Women’s Division Singles Match, a face-to-face between Jon Moxley and Hiroshi Tanahashi, reigning IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay taking on AAA and ROH World Tag Team Champion Dax Harwood in Singles action, a 20-On-1 “Class Action” Handicap Elimination Matchup between Wardlow and Plaintiffs, Miro taking on Ethan Page in an AEW All-Atlantic Title Qualifying Match for Forbidden Door and Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus defending the AEW World Tag Team Titles against The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) in a Ladder Match, which was the main event.

The viewership number of this past Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite, which drew the lowest total audience for an episode on a Wednesday night since April 7, 2021 and the lowest key demo rating for a Wednesday night episode since May 19, 2021, was up 37.86% from the same week last year, while the key 18-49 demo rating was up 40% from the same week this past year. That week’s AEW Dynamite episode took place on a Friday night.

Last Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite ranked #2 for the night on the Cable Top 150, with a 0.28 rating in the 18-49 key demo, which is down from last week’s #1 ranking. Last Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite ranked #38 in viewership for the night on cable, which is down from last week’s #31 ranking.
