AEW Dynamite Viewership Down For Last Wednesday’s Episode

Last week’s TBS premiere episode of Dynamite was able to draw a total of 1.010 million viewers, while this past Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite was able to draw a total of 969,000 viewers, Showbuzz Daily and Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reports.

This total is down 4.05% from last week’s TBS premiere AEW Dynamite episode, which drew a 0.39 rating in the 18-49 key demo. Last Wednesday’s 0.39 rating is down 9.30% from last week’s 0.43 rating in the key 18-49 demo. Last Wednesday’s rating of 0.39 in the 18-49 key demo represents around 505,000 total viewers that watched this past Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite from that demo. This is down 9.82% from last week’s 560,000 total viewers in the 18-49 key demo.

This past Wednesday’s live episode of Dynamite from the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina featured AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page in an in-ring segment, Matt Hardy vs. Penta El Zero Miedo in a Singles Match, Hikaru Shida vs. Serena Deeb in a Women’s Division Singles Match, Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Dante Martin in a Singles Match, CM Punk going up against Wardlow in a Singles Match, and Interim AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara defending his title against Daniel Garcia, which was the main event.

The viewership number of last Wednesday night’s Dynamite, which drew the lowest audience since Winter Is Coming on December 15, but the second-best key demo rating since the rating of 0.40 on October 27, behind last week’s 0.43 rating, was up 27.2% from the same week in 2021, which battled against NXT in head-to-head competition and against the cable news coverage of President Donald Trump’s impeachment, while the key 18-49 demo rating was up 30% from the same week in 2021.

Last Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite ranked #3 for the night on the Cable Top 150, with a 0.39 rating in the 18-49 key demo, which is down from last week’s #2 ranking. Last Wednesday night’s Dynamite ranked #31 in viewership for the night on cable, which is up from last week’s #32 ranking.
