Last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was able to draw a total of 975,000 viewers, while last Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite was able to draw a total of 1.172 million viewers, reports Showbuzz Daily and Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.
This total is up 20.21% from last week’s episode, which drew a 0.48 rating in the 18-49 key demo. The 0.48 rating is up 37.14% from last week’s rating of 0.35 in the key 18-49 demo. The rating of 0.48 in the 18-49 key demographic represents around 620,000 total viewers who watched Dynamite last Wednesday from that demo. This is up 38.7% from last week’s 447,000 total viewers in the 18-49 key demo.
Last Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured the Dynamite debut of CM Punk, Red Velvet vs. Jamie Hayter, Matt Hardy vs. Orange Cassidy, Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston and Darby Allin vs. Wingmen’s Ryan Nemeth, JD Drake and Cezar Bononi, QT Marshall, Aaron Solow and Nick Comoroto vs. Austin, Colten and Billy Gunn, Chris Jericho addressing his future in the company, Varsity Blonds vs. Lucha Brothers in an AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament Match and Malakai Black vs. Brock Anderson, which was the main event.
The viewership number of last Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, which drew the second best audience of the year and which viewership drew the third best in the history of AEW Dynamite and the most viewers since the April 14th episode, which was the first show after NXT moved to Tuesdays and the show which drew the second best key demographic rating behind the 0.68 rating that the debut episode of Dynamite drew on October 2nd, 2019, and the best key demo rating of 2021 so far, was up 44% from the same week in 2020, which, at the time, competed against WWE’s NXT, while the 18-49 key demo rating was up 65.5% from the same week in 2020.
Last Wednesday night’s Dynamite topped the night on the Cable Top 150 with a 0.48 rating in the 18-49 key demographic, while Dynamite ranked #31 in viewership for the night on cable.

The younger half of the 18 to 49 demo was actually down compared to recent weeks. P35-49 was also the second highest ever (455,000).
