AEW Dynamite Viewership Up Huge For Wednesday’s Episode

Last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was able to draw 752,000 total viewers, while this past Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite was able to draw a total of 997,000 viewers, reports Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

This total is up 32.58% from last week’s AEW Dynamite episode, which drew a rating of 0.32 in the key 18-49 demo. This past Wednesday’s rating of 0.32 is up 23.07% from last week’s 0.26 rating in the key 18-49 demo. Last Wednesday’s 0.32 rating in the 18-49 key demographic represents 417,000 viewers that watched this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite episode from that demo. This is up 23.01% from last week’s 339,000 total viewers in the 18-49 key demo.

Last Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite from the Chartway Center in Norfolk, Virginia featured Jamie Hayter facing Riho in Women’s Division Singles action, MJF addressing the fans, Bryan Danielson going up against Sammy Guevara in a one-on-one match, Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta) taking on Jericho Appreciation Society’s ROH World Champion Chris Jericho and ROH Pure Champion Daniel Garcia in Tag Team action, Swerve In Our Glory (Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland) taking on the reigning IWGP Heavyweight, AAA and ROH World Tag Team Champions FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) in a #1 Contenders Match for the reigning AEW World Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens and Max Caster) and the current AEW World Champion Jon Moxley defending his title against AEW World Trios Champion Penta El Zero Miedo, which was the main event.

The viewership number of last Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite, which drew the fourteenth-highest total audience of the year so far and the twelfth-highest key demo rating of the year so far and which tied with five other AEW Dynamite episodes, was up 5.95% from the same week last year, while the key 18-49 demo rating was down 20% from the same week in 2021.

Last Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite ranked #5 for the night on the Cable Top 150, with a 0.32 rating in the 18-49 key demo, which is up from last week’s #8 ranking. Last Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite episode ranked #33 in viewership for the night on cable, which is up from last week’s #45 ranking.
