AEW Issues Statement On Coronavirus, Future Shows Still On

Over the past number of weeks, Japanese pro wrestling promotions such as Stardom, NJPW and AJPW have been cancelling and postponing their shows in response to the recent Coronavirus outbreak in Japan as well as all over the world.

The WWE has put out a “no contact” policy for their fan meet-and-greets and have even been monitoring the Coronavirus situation in Tampa, which is where WrestleMania 36 will be held but as of this writing, WWE’s WrestleMania 36 is currently still planned to take place.

All Elite Wrestling, on the other hand, has issued a statement about their upcoming events that despite the recent Coronavirus situation “all AEW events are currently moving forward as scheduled.”

You can check out All Elite Wrestling’s full statement below:

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

All AEW events are currently moving forward as scheduled. Of course, the safety and well-being of AEW fans, partners and talent is always our top priority, so we will continue to closely monitor the rapidly evolving situation related to COVID-19 and be guided by government officials, health organizations and venue management. AEW will update ticket purchasers if there are any changes to the event schedule, and we encourage everyone in the AEW family to be good to themselves – and each other – by taking preventative actions as recommended by the CDC and WHO.
