AEW Reportedly Planning Another Surprise For Revolution PPV

This past Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite saw Paul Wight make his official AEW debut and reveal that a huge “Hall of Fame worthy talent” signing will take place at this Sunday’s Revolution PPV. The former Big Show then said that “it is not who you think” and didn’t give more details other than that as to who this person might be.

During a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program, Dave Meltzer discussed about Wight’s announcement as well as AEW planning another surprise for Revolution. Dave Meltzer said there will be two surprises at this Sunday’s Revolution PPV, the first will be the sixth participant in the Face Of The Revolution Ladder Match and the second will be the surprise revealed by Paul Wight.

Dave Meltzer even clarified that the sixth person in the ladder match won’t be someone on the current AEW roster, but rather a legitimate surprise.

This is what Dave Meltzer said:

“So for AEW just to clarify everything, there’s going to be two new people debuting on the show. One will be the sixth person in the ladder match and the other will be the surprise that Paul Wight will announce during the show. I don’t know who either guy is, but they are both newcomers and they are two different people. That much I do know.”

“I could throw out names, but essentially, it’s going to be..the guy Paul Wight said is a sorta Hall of Famer, I don’t know what that is supposed to mean. What you’re looking at is someone who has been around for a while, that tells me it’s an ex-WWE guy who has a name.”

There is no word yet on who the two surprises are, but updates will be given as it becomes available.
