AEW Reportedly Plans To Use “Broken Universe” Gimmick

According to PWInsider.com, AEW plans to begin using much of the “Broken Universe” gimmick for Matt Hardy in the coming weeks. This reportedly was one of the terms Matt Hardy agreed upon prior to signing with All Elite Wrestling.

The belief is that WWE really did not want to use the “Broken Universe” gimmick as much as Matt Hardy wanted them to, which is why Matt Hardy and the WWE didn’t come to an agreement especially on the creative side.

Matt Hardy returns to in-ring action on Wednesday when he teams up with Kenny Omega to take on the Inner Circle’s Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara.
