AEW Star Serena Deeb Files To Trademark Her Nickname

Last February 15th, All Elite Wrestling Star and pro wrestling veteran Serena Deeb filed to trademark the term “The Professor of Professional Wrestling” with the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) for clothing purposes and entertainment services. The trademark filing was done through Atty. Michael E. Dockins, who has helped several AEW Stars file their trademarks in the past as well.

Deeb made her professional wrestling debut back in 2005, when she trained in the OVW Wrestling School and competed in the company until 2009. Deeb would also work for wrestling companies like Shimmer and Wrestlicious prior to signing with the WWE in 2009. Serena was most popularly known as a member of CM Punk’s Straight Edge Society stable in the WWE. Deeb then returned to Shimmer from 2010-2011 and then again in 2013 prior to competing in the independent circuit.

Serena then made her return to the WWE in 2017, when she competed in that year’s first-ever Mae Young Classic Tournament. Deeb would then sign with the company to become a coach in the Performance Center until she was released on April 15th, 2020 reportedly due to budget cuts. Serena Deeb would then make her AEW debut on the September 2nd, 2020 episode of Dynamite, when she lost a one-on-one match to AEW Star and the NWA Women’s World Champion at the time Thunder Rosa. On September 21st of the same year, AEW announced that Deeb had signed with the promotion. She has since been dominating everyone AEW has put in front of her and she has recently been competing in her 5 Minute Rookie Challenges.
