AEW Star Signs Full-Time Deal With The Promotion

AEW President and CEO Tony Khan appeared prior to an episode of Dynamite this past September 8 during the tapings of AEW Dark: Elevation shortly after Lee Moriarty lost to Daniel Garcia in Singles action and offered him a contract, which Lee accepted, but it was not sure at the time what type of contract was offered to Moriarty.

Lee Moriarty faced Bobby Fish on the Rampage: The Buy-In Pre-Show this past Friday night, but came up short. Immediately following the match, an announcement was made via the official AEW Twitter account that Lee Moriarty is now officially signed to a full-time deal with the promotion.

Moriarty made his professional wrestling debut in 2015 and has worked for a number of promotions such as ROH and MLW. Lee made his first appearance for AEW on the August 17th episode of Dark and has been competing on Dark and Dark: Elevation since, but he has yet to secure his first win in AEW after five matches. Lee’s win-loss record includes four losses in Singles action and one loss in Tag Team action and that includes his loss against Bobby Fish.

AEW CEO Tony Khan appeared on a recent edition of Busted Open Radio and spoke about how Lee was under a developmental deal, but with the full-time deal being announced, it is clear that the AEW President sees some potential in Moriarty.
