AEW Takes A Shot At WWE’s Leg Slap Ban During Dynamite

It was previously reported that during the most recent episode of Being The Elite All Elite Wrestling Stars Matt Hardy, Christopher Daniels, and The Young Bucks decided to have some fun with an edict WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon recently issued for their talents, wherein wrestlers will no longer be allowed to do leg slaps during their matches.

This is not the only time AEW took some shots at WWE’s leg slap ban as during last night’s episode of Dynamite Don Callis, AEW World Champion Kenny Omega’s manager, did the same. A backstage interview of the AEW Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks was taking place, but Don Callis interrupted the interview and offered his condolences towards The Young Bucks’ father as he was attacked by “Le Champion” Chris Jericho and MJF on a past episode of Dynamite.

Callis then gave a gift for the full recovery of The Young Bucks’ father in the form of a shirt which read, “DO NOT SLAP LEG WHEN KICKING,” which Matt Jackson immediately threw. The t-shirt is reportedly an official article of clothing that can be purchased on ProWrestlingTees.com. This shirt is a direct reference to WWE’s recent ban of the leg slap, which is technique talents have used over the years to emphasize a kick’s sound effect.

You can check out the full segment below, along with a photo of Callis and the t-shirt:
