The main event of this past Wednesday’s Fyter Fest Week 2 episode of AEW Dynamite saw “The Painmaker” Chris Jericho take on Eddie Kingston in a Barbed Wire Everywhere Death Match and get the win due to a number of times that members of the Jericho Appreciation Society interfered in the match. The Jericho Appreciation Society was suspended in a shark cage, but they were eventually released due to the help of Tay Conti and Anna Jay, who turned heel when she attacked Ruby Soho.
Despite Jericho winning the match, Eddie Kingston still got the last laugh by launching Chris Jericho into a barbed wire spider web as soon as the match ended. After the show came to a close, Jericho was rescued from the barbed wire spider web by members of the Jericho Appreciation Society and by the AEW officials and stretchered to the back.
“The Painmaker” Chris Jericho took to his Twitter account hours after last Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite went off the air and revealed that he suffered a broken nose during the Death Match courtesy of Eddie Kingston, which seemed to have happened when the inaugural AEW World Champion was attempting to hit a Codebreaker on Kingston while Kingston was holding a steel chair wrapped in barbed wire. The Painmaker’s nose would collide with the leg of the chair, which would cause Jericho’s nose to sustain certain damage and Jericho to take a moment and check on his injury.
Chris Jericho and Eddie Kingston has been in an extremely physical feud since late last year and they have battled each other several times since then, including the Blood & Guts Match during the June 29 episode of AEW Dynamite, which was won by the Jericho Appreciation Society.
