All Elite Wrestling Executive Vice President “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes recently took to Twitter to respond to a fan who asked him regarding the treatment of black talents in AEW. The fan asked when are the black talent in your company gonna be treated like main event stars.
Cody Rhodes would then respond to the fan by citing Scorpio Sky being one of the first AEW Champions and AEW having the only black executive in wrestling history.
AEW was also called out by former GCW World Champion AJ Gray on Twitter on how the company is going to preach diversity yet they won’t even hire black wrestlers who are equally, if not even more talented than the other wrestlers. As of this writing, not a single person from the company has responded to Gray’s comments.

One of our first champions was a black man. We have the only black executive in wrestling history as part of our core infrastructure as well. Our fans are beyond valued, I’d encourage you to watch my interview from this past week where I spoke directly to the viewer at home. ❤️— Cody (@CodyRhodes) May 30, 2020
