Cody Rhodes Comments on Future of WWE Star Harper

All Elite Wrestling Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes recently spoke with TalkSports reporter Alex McCarthy and one of the most interesting parts of that interview concerned speculation on the future of WWE Superstar Harper.

The question from McCarthy centered around the report earlier this month that WWE will release The Ascension, Sin Cara, and Harper from their current contracts. Long a fan favorite, the 6-foot-5 Harper, known as Brodie Lee in his indie days, caused the most excitement on social media among fans who speculated on who AEW may target for recruitment.

Rhodes only added to the speculation with his comments about Harper to McCarthy:

“He would be great as part of AEW. He’s a name that when you hear they’ve asked for their release, you definitely think about that and the next steps, for sure. I think he’s going to flourish with what he does next, he’s very special.”
