Cody Rhodes Now Owns Name And Trademark For Dusty Rhodes

All Elite Wrestling Executive Vice President “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes recently filed a number of trademarks that are related to wrestling.

Those trademarks include Battle Bowl, Bash At The Beach and Bunkhouse Stampede, which are names that were used in past WCW Events.

It was reported by Dave Meltzer on a recent edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Cody Rhodes now owns the trademark for his father, the late great WWE Hall of Famer “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes’ ring name.

Meltzer also said that Cody wanted to write a book about his father when he initially left the WWE, but the timing wasn’t right then. WWE still owned the trademark for his father and it is highly unlikely that Cody Rhodes will be writing a book now even though he already owns the trademark as he has a lot of things going right now.

Speaking of Bash At The Beach, All Elite Wrestling will be having their very first event of 2020 on January 15th with that very name. Also now that Cody Rhodes owns the trademark of his father’s name, it will be interesting what he decides to do next. Whether it is using the name for a future AEW event or some other wrestling related matter, it remains to be seen.
