Confirmation On When MJF’s AEW Deal Actually Expires

MJF has been one of the top Stars in All Elite Wrestling ever since he signed with the promotion back in 2019. He has recently been put in a storyline feud with his former Pinnacle partner Wardlow and he is recognized as one of, if not the top heel not only in AEW, but in all of wrestling. MJF has said a number of times that his contract with AEW is set to expire on January 1st, 2024, but no confirmation has been given on the exact date when MJF’s AEW deal will expire until now.

According to Fightful Select, the date that MJF mentioned is exactly when his deal with AEW will come to an end, but after initially signing a contract with the promotion in 2019, MJF signed an extension that has a significant increase in the salary he initially signed for.

There are reports that MJF’s frustrations with All Elite Wrestling began shortly following signing an extension with the company as he feels he has outperformed that deal. Last April, MJF took part in an interview, which he didn’t clear up with AEW President Tony Khan as well as the promotion’s PR and it was during that interview that MJF made some comments which didn’t bode well with Tony Khan and since then, MJF has reportedly kept to himself and he has even distanced and isolated himself from the rest of the AEW locker room.

As previously reported, MJF no-showed the AEW Double Or Nothing Fan Fest on Saturday and later booked a flight out of Las Vegas, Nevada, however, he didn’t leave the city and he showed up at last night’s AEW Double Or Nothing PPV Event, but lost to Wardlow and was stretchered out. More updates on MJF and his status with All Elite Wrestling as well as his issues with the promotion will be provided once it has been made available.
