Jeff Hardy Gets An Interim Relief In His Ongoing Trial

Jeff Hardy is an exceptional superstar who has graced the ropes of the WWE and now AEW. He is currently on a trial for a DUI case, but he has some relief. According to PWInsider, his attorney filed a motion asking for the hearing to be pushed back, which prosecutors agreed to.

It’s an excellent development. Notably, Hardy, 44, was arrested on 6/28 at 9:55 AM and charged with DUI (Alcohol or Drugs), third offense within ten years, driving while license canceled/suspended/revoked and violation of restrictions placed on driver’s license.  The primary charge is a felony under Florida law, punishable by up to five years imprisonment, should Hardy be convicted.

The court signed off on the motion yesterday, pushing Hardy’s pre-trial hearing back to 11/17.

What Happens Next For Jeff Hardy?

In the motion, it was noted that Hardy’s attorneys “recently provided extensive mitigation materials to the counsel for the State” and that “The parties require additional time to negotiate a potential pretrial resolution”, so it would appear that the two sides are working on a plea agreement that would prevent a trial.

The fact that Jeff Hardy would not have to go through a trial, should this negotiation come to a fruitful end is a welcome sign for the wrestling fraternity. Jeff Hardy is doing well, and as we previously reported via Matt Hardy that Jeff’s wife Beth is very happy with the personal progress of The Charismatic Enigma.

It would be interesting to see what or how this trial concludes as a lot depends on the trial. This trial will set Jeff Hardy free from the demons he has been battling for years and has won them over during the current rehab.
