Jim Ross On Reason He Got Emotional At AEW’s DON PPV Event

All Elite Wrestling recently held their Double Or Nothing PPV Event, which featured CM Punk defeating “Hangman” Adam Page to become the new AEW World Champion, Adam Cole defeating Samoa Joe in the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament and Britt Baker defeating Ruby Soho in the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament.

The Owen Hart Foundation Men’s and Women’s Tournaments were done as a way for AEW to honor Owen Hart, his legacy and his family and they would even bring in Martha Hart, widow of former WWE Superstar and pro wrestling legend Owen Hart, to give a speech and present the titles to the Owen Hart Cup winners. AEW announcer and Senior Advisor “Good Ole’ J.R.” Jim Ross recently took to his “Grilling JR” podcast to explain the reason he got very emotional when interacting with Martha Hart backstage at the Double Or Nothing PPV Event.

This is what Jim Ross said:

“I had a chance in the little green room environment in there, to sit and chat with Martha.” “I did exactly what I told myself I was not going to do and that was cry. I couldn’t help it and so it was very emotional. She was a gracious and glorious host, shall we say, of this event.”

Jim Ross also talked about how Owen Hart is one of the greatest workers and that he could have been a great babyface or a great heel.

This is what Jim Ross said:

“He’s one of the top four or five workers I ever was around.” “He could be a great babyface, he could be a great heel.”
