Jim Ross Provides An Update On His Skin Cancer Treatment

AEW commentator and Senior Advisor “Good Ole’ J.R.” Jim Ross, who signed with the company in April of 2019, took to Twitter several weeks ago and posted a photo of his ankle, while also revealing that he had been dealing with skin cancer issues for over a year now. The WWE Hall of Famer then confirmed he has to start doing 22 radiation treatments soon, but that he does not plan on taking a leave from AEW or missing any work time despite having to go through an extremely grueling treatment schedule.

Dave Meltzer noted on a previous edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that the way the AEW commentator signed off from AEW Dynamite last Wednesday seems like he may be taking some time off and he doesn’t know what the future holds. Meltzer also noted that since JR has to do 22 straight days of radiation treatment, the WWE Hall of Famer might not be able to make it to work, even though how much he wants to, which means that he could be gone for a few weeks, but hopefully everything works out.

Jim Ross took to his Twitter account prior to Dynamite last Wednesday night and shared a photo of his back after getting surgery done, while also hyping up and promoting the show from inside the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois. “Good Ole’ J.R.” Jim Ross recently took to Twitter and provided an update on his skin cancer treatment, where he revealed that due to his skin cancer radiation treatments that totals 22 and starts Monday, he will be taking time off from AEW and hopefully returns on December 29 in Jacksonville. JR also noted that Tony Khan has supported him all throughout, which has been a huge blessing for him.
