The Cleaner proved once again why he’s one of wrestling’s elite performers, successfully defending his International Championship in a chaotic four-way encounter that had everything from bloodshed to mutual respect. Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite main event during Fyter Fest showcased the very best of what makes All Elite Wrestling special.

Mascara Dorada Steals the Show Despite Taking the Loss

CMLL’s Mascara Dorada walked into Daily’s Place as the unknown quantity among these established AEW stars, but he left having earned the respect of both fans and his opponents. The masked luchador’s high-flying arsenal and technical prowess had the Jacksonville crowd on their feet throughout the contest.

Perhaps the most telling moment came when Omega, mid-match, extended his hand to Dorada in a show of professional respect. This gesture highlighted just how impressed the International Champion was with his Mexican opponent’s performance.

Despite his stellar showing, Dorada ultimately fell victim to Omega’s devastating One-Winged Angel, taking the pinfall that ended this barnburner of a main event.

Brody King Brings the Violence

The House of Black member lived up to his reputation as one of wrestling’s most intimidating forces. King absorbed punishment that would end most wrestlers’ nights, including a nasty cut to his forehead that painted his face crimson for the remainder of the bout.

The big man’s willingness to continue fighting despite the blood loss exemplified the hardcore spirit that has made him a fan favorite. King’s presence added an element of unpredictability that kept viewers guessing until the final bell.

Castagnoli Targets Omega’s Weakness

The Swiss Superman showed his wrestling intelligence by focusing his attack on Omega’s midsection, with commentary specifically referencing the champion’s well-documented battle with diverticulitis. This strategic approach nearly paid dividends for the former Ring of Honor World Champion.

Castagnoli’s most spectacular moment came when he delivered a picture-perfect Doomsday uppercut from the top turnbuckle, catching King just as Omega had him positioned for the One-Winged Angel. The move demonstrated the veteran’s ring awareness and ability to capitalize on split-second opportunities.

The ringside action spilled throughout the arena as all four competitors used every inch of Daily’s Place to punish each other.

Championship Chaos and Near Falls

The match’s closing sequence featured a rapid-fire exchange of finishers and near-falls that had the crowd believing multiple times that we might see a new champion crowned. Dorada showed incredible ring presence by initially escaping Omega’s One-Winged Angel attempt.

Castagnoli’s neutralizer on the battered King looked like it might seal the deal, but Omega’s championship instincts kicked in as he broke up what seemed like a certain three-count. When Dorada launched himself from the top rope in a final desperate attempt to claim gold, Omega’s experience proved the difference.

The Rainmaker Comes Calling

Just when fans thought the night’s excitement had reached its peak, Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada made his presence felt. The NJPW legend’s post-match confrontation with Omega sent a clear message about his intentions moving forward.

This backstage brawl has all the makings of setting up a dream match between two of wrestling’s biggest stars at All In Texas next month. The thought of these former Bullet Club stablemates colliding with championships on the line has the wrestling world buzzing.

With Omega having survived this four-way gauntlet and Okada clearly in his crosshairs, could we be heading toward the most anticipated match of the summer? What other surprises might AEW have in store as they build toward their next major pay-per-view spectacular?
