Kenny Omega Won’t Travel To Las Vegas For Double Or Nothing

“The Cleaner” Kenny Omega is recognized as one of, if not the greatest pro wrestler in the modern era and possibly even of all time. He has won championship gold in every promotion he has competed in and he was even one of the first signees in AEW as well as one of the most dominant World Champion in the history of All Elite Wrestling. Kenny Omega last competed for AEW at last November’s Full Gear Event, when he lost the AEW World Title to “Hangman” Adam Page and he has since been out of action as he has had injuries that needed to be surgically repaired and he needed to divert his attention on rehabbing those nagging injuries.

Dave Meltzer revealed on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter a number of weeks back that The Cleaner is currently recovering from an arthroscopic knee surgery and that he will need about ten weeks to fully recover. Meltzer also revealed that not only is Omega recovering from a knee surgery, but he was also set to undergo a surgery to repair his sports hernia at the end of March and he will need 2 months to recover. Aside from the hernia surgery, Kenny Omega also has other issues he is planning to take care of before he finally makes his return to in-ring action.

Omega recently returned to All Elite Wrestling, when he resumed his backstage role as the promotion’s Executive Vice President and he produced some of the women’s division matches in AEW as well as other AEW content, but Dave Meltzer mentioned on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that it was too early for The Cleaner to travel because he is still in the healing process of his injuries and that may have re-aggravated a few of his nagging injuries, so he will no longer be traveling with AEW and he will not be in attendance at tomorrow’s AEW Double Or Nothing.

The report also states that Omega is aware that physically he will never be 100 percent again, but he is healthy enough to train well each and every week and push himself harder. Omega is also looking at reversing some of the physical damage done to his body and get back to in-ring action as soon as he’s able to. Kenny Omega is reportedly also looking to extend his time of being an effective pro wrestler by taking some time off and by fixing up his various nagging injuries.

There’s no word yet on when “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega will make his return to in-ring action as he is still recovering from a number of surgeries and injuries, but updates will be provided once it’s been made available. While he is still out of action, Omega is working on a number of things such as their first-ever AEW video game.
