Last Friday’s Dynamite Draws Record-Low Viewership Numbers

Last week’s episode of Dynamite, which took place on the show’s regular timeslot of Wednesday nights, was able to draw a total of 821,000 viewers. Last Friday night’s episode of Dynamite, which was AEW’s first time to hold the show on a Friday night, was able to only draw a total of 526,000 viewers, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported via Nielsen.

This total is down 36% from last week’s episode of Dynamite. Last Friday night’s Dynamite episode was the go-home show of this past Sunday’s Double or Nothing PPV Event and was able to draw a 0.20 rating in the 18-49 key demographic. This is also down 28.6% from last week’s Wednesday night episode, which drew a rating of 0.28 in the 18-49 key demo.

Last Friday night’s episode of Dynamite was reportedly expected to draw the lowest numbers in history as the show had to take place on a Friday night due to the NBA Playoffs. This week’s Dynamite episode will be taking place on a Friday night as well.

The second lowest viewership number was a one-hour late night Dynamite episode that aired on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2020 at 12:30AM ET following an NBA game, which was able to draw 585,000 viewers with a 0.26 rating in the 18-49 key demo.

The viewership number of last Friday night’s episode of Dynamite was down 36.4% from the same week in 2020, while the 18-49 key demo rating was down 37.5% from the same week in 2020.
