NXT Narrows Ratings Gap with Dynamite This Week

WWE nearly pulls even with AEW for viewers in latest episode.

All Elite Wrestling won the latest battle, but as Jim Ross would say “things are picking up” with the Wednesday Night War for wrestling viewers.

AEW Dynamite bounced back this week with 822,000 viewers, an incline from 759,000 a week ago in it’s least-watched episode ever. Meanwhile, WWE NXT surged to 813,000 viewers, quite a jump from 580,000 a week ago. It’s important to note this week both shows no longer had to compete with Major League Baseball’s World Series.

Dynamite finished in eighth-place on cable in the 18-49 age demographic with a .35 rating. NXT climbed to twelfth-place in the demo with a .30 rating in its most-viewed episode since October 2.

AEW pulled out to an early lead for ratings, but it looks WWE’s third brand is starting to rally and find itself. It will be interesting to see how Dynamite fares next week in its fallout show from the Full Gear pay-per-view show in Baltimore on Saturday.
