Street Fight Announced For AEW’s House Always Wins Event

AEW recently announced that they will be having their first-ever non-televised event on Friday, April 9th from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida, with a live Dynamite episode taking place Wednesday, prior to the event, which is on April 7th.

AEW then announced that the event will be called “The House Always Wins” and that a number of matches will be taking place on the show, including Mike and Matt Sydal facing Michael Nakazawa and AEW World Champion Kenny Omega in the main event. AEW TNT Champion Darby Allin will also be defending his title against an opponent yet to be named.

One other match that is set to take place on the show was supposed to see Cody Rhodes face Ethan Page in Singles action, but Ethan was moved to compete in the Battle Royale to determine who will face AEW TNT Champion Darby Allin later in the show. According to AEW, Cody Rhodes is now scheduled to take on Aaron Solow in a Duuuval Street Fight as Solow, who was a student in the Nightmare Factory, took part in the beat-down of Cody this past Wednesday night on Dynamite.
