Tony Khan Can’t Wait For MJF’s Crowd Reaction In Long Island

This coming Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite is set to take place from the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York, which is the hometown of top All Elite Wrestling Star MJF. The promotion previously held an episode of Dynamite on December 8th, 2021 and during that time, MJF received a hero’s welcome from his hometown fans, but considering his current storyline with his former stablemate Wardlow, AEW President and CEO Tony Khan is interested to see what his crowd reaction will be this time around.

AEW President and CEO Tony Khan recently appeared on SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio for his “Tony Time” segment and talked about how Wardlow has been having an awesome showing, most especially in his match against IMPACT Star W. Morrissey and how the fans have been supporting Wardlow for a really long time now and how they want to see him confront MJF.

This is what Tony Khan said:

“It was an awesome showing for Wardlow.” “He’s such a bright star. Obviously, right now, he’s being held down by MJF. Being held back by MJF, and it’s only making the fans love him more. The people seem to get behind Wardlow a little bit more every week, and I think it’s just awesome.”

“It’s been a long time coming, really for years, the fans supported Wardlow and wanted to see Wardlow stand up to MJF, and now they’re seeing it, and people are really, really responding to it.”

AEW CEO Tony Khan then talked about how he can’t wait to see the crowd reaction MJF will be receiving in his hometown of Long Island, New York.

This is what Tony Khan said:

“It will be really interesting to see the response.” “Will it be the same hero’s welcome for MJF that we became accustomed to seeing on Long Island? We shall see.” “So, we’ll have the contract signing for the Wardlow vs. MJF match. Clearly, MJF has some nasty stuff up his sleeve and we’re going to find out, I believe, what that’s going to be on Wednesday night Dynamite.”
