Tony Khan Teases Having A Trick Up His Sleeve For Supercard Of Honor

AEW President Tony Khan made an appearance on an episode of Busted Open Radio and revealed that he is working on something massive for the company. The opening segment of the March 2 AEW Dynamite episode then saw AEW President and CEO Tony Khan kick the show off with a bang, when he said that the episode of the show would be the biggest night in promotion history and revealed that he has signed a deal to become the new owner of Ring Of Honor. There were reports earlier that same week that ROH and another wrestling promotion were in talks about a possible sale and it is now clear that the deal was between AEW and ROH.

Tony Khan took to Twitter and noted that he promises to work hard in order for ROH Supercard Of Honor to be a great PPV and for the show to carry on the incredible 20-year legacy of ROH. The AEW CEO also noted that he might have a trick up his sleeve to make ROH’s Supercard Of Honor even more bigger, but he won’t be announcing what that is.

Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Live that the era of Ring Of Honor (ROH) with Tony Khan as the promotion’s head booker will begin at Supercard of Honor XV in Dallas, Texas on April 1 as he will be handling the entire creative for ROH’s first-ever PPV since the company went on a major hiatus. ROH Supercard Of Honor is also the company’s first-ever PPV since Tony Khan announced his purchase of the promotion.

Four matches have been announced so far for ROH Supercard of Honor, with Jonathan Gresham and Bandido set to face each other for the undisputed ROH World Championship, The Briscoes (Mark and Jay Briscoe) set to put their ROH World Tag Team Championships on the line against Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood of FTR, Jay Lethal set to face Lee Moriarty in Singles action and Alex Zayne set to go up against Swerve Strickland in a Singles Match. Joe Hendry and Ninja Mack are also announced to appear on the show.

ROH’s Supercard Of Honor Event is set to take place on Friday, April 1 from inside the Curtis Culwell Center in Dallas, Texas and is set to air live on FITE TV, traditional PPV, InDemand Cable as well as Satellite providers. The show is also set to stream live for members of ROH’s HonorClub service. Fans can view the PPV starting at 8PM ET, with a pre-show set to begin one hour earlier on the promotion’s official YouTube channel.
