Top 5 Most Underrated Wrestlers In All Of AEW

Ever since the inception of All Elite Wrestling, they have been garnering global recognition and huge successes and they have even reached worldwide audiences and markets.

It all started with Shahid Khan and Tony Khan’s concept of this revolutionary wrestling product that has wrestlers or talents writing the product and even producing, conceptualizing, and handling just about everything there is to handle in the business side of things, with of course the help and guidance of the Khan Family.

The idea and inspiration behind the creation of AEW started with All In as well as the Kenny Omega vs Chris Jericho Wrestle Kingdom Match. Since then, AEW has created their weekly episodes of Dark on the official YouTube channel of the promotion as well as Dynamite on TNT.

AEW has become a global name in such a short time that even a TV network such as TNT wanted to air their programming. This is the 1st time in decades that a wrestling program has been aired on TNT since WCW went out of business and was bought by WWE.

All Elite Wrestling is even running four PPV Events each year, which is referred to as their big four PPVs, namely Double Or Nothing, Revolution, All Out and Full Gear.

The promotion has even signed some of the biggest and most talented stars in all of wrestling such as Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, Cody, The Young Bucks, Hangman Page, Brodie Lee, and Chris Jericho, just to name a few, and with the signings of such top-caliber stars, there are other stars who flew under the radar. Below are the company’s top 5 most underrated stars:

  1. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.

Dr. Britt Baker made her professional wrestling debut at an International Wrestling Cartel (IWC) Event in August Of 2015, when she alongside Andrew Palace took on Dylan Bostic and Ray Lyn in a Tag Team Match where Baker and Palace came out of the match with a huge win.

Baker then appeared on WWE Monday Night RAW as a jobber, losing to Nia Jax in a Squash Match. On December 10th, 2016, Baker would then become the inaugural IWC Women’s Champion, defeating April Sera, Marti Belle, and Sonya Strong in a Four-Way Elimination Match.

Baker would then compete at All In against Madison Rayne, Chelsea Green and Tessa Blanchard in a Four Corner Survival Match, but she would end up on the losing end. On January 2nd, 2019, Baker would then be signed by AEW, being the first female wrestler signed by the promotion. Baker would then debut for AEW on May 25th, 2019 at AEW’s inaugural PPV Event called Double or Nothing, where she defeated Kylie Rae, Nyla Rose, and Awesome Kong in a Fatal 4-Way Match.

Since then, Baker has had rivalries with Bea Priestley, Riho and most recently, Big Swole. She lately has been involved in a storyline with her dental background and a segment called “The Waiting Room,” but being that she was the first-ever female signed by All Elite Wrestling and an amazing wrestler as she has had numerous successes in AEW as well as outside of AEW, she should be involved in bigger and better storylines such as the AEW Women’s World Title picture.

  1. “The Native Beast” Nyla Rose

Just like Britt Baker, “The Native Beast” Nyla Rose made her AEW debut at the company’s inaugural PPV Event called Double Or Nothing. The Native Beast would then compete at Fyter Fest in the same year in a Triple Threat Match against Riho and Yuka Sakazaki, where she would be established as a top heel in the company. Nyla would then compete in an AEW Women’s Casino Battle Royale at All Out, which she won and would earn an opportunity to become the inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion.

Riho would then defeat “The Native Beast” Nyla Rose on the premiere episode of Dynamite to become the inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion, but Nyla would receive another shot at the AEW Women’s Title on February 12th, 2020, and she would capitalize big-time by defeating Riho to win the AEW Women’s World Title, making her the first transgender woman to win a world championship.

Months later, Pro Wrestling legend Vickie Guerrero would then be introduced as Nyla’s manager in AEW. Despite partnering up Vickie Guerrero with Nyla Rose, not much has been done to elevate her career as well as make her career bigger than it already is or it should be as Nyla should be back in the World Title picture.

  1. TH2 (Angelico and Jack Evans)

Angelico and Jack Evans has had several accomplishments throughout their careers and has won a number of championship titles in every promotion they have competed in. In 2013, Angelico and Jack Evans won the AAA World Tag Team Titles at AAA’s Héroes Inmortales VII Event in a Four-Way Match.

In 2015, Jack Evans and Angelico regained the AAA World Tag Team Title at AAA’s Héroes Inmortales IX Event when the team defeated Líder and Pentagón Jr. as well as Daga and Steve Pain in a Three-Way Match. On July 17, 2016, Angélico and Jack Evans would once again win the AAA World Tag Team Title for the third time.

Prior to signing with AEW on May 9th, 2019, Angelico and Jack Evans competed in promotions like Lucha Underground and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. Angelico and Jack Evans made their AEW debuts at the Double Or Nothing PPV Event as well, losing to Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent) in a Tag Team Match.

At Fight For The Fallen, Angelico and Jack Evans competed in a Three-Way Tag Team Match against Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus) and The Dark Order (Evil Uno and Stu Grayson), but would lose as well.

They would then be in a losing streak until the October 8th episode of AEW Dark, when they debuted as The Hybrid 2 (TH2), teaming with the Lucha Brothers (Rey Fénix and Pentagón Jr.) and would defeat the Best Friends and Private Party in an 8-Man Tag Team Match to secure their first-ever win in AEW.

Jack Evans and Angelico is one hell of a tag team, but they haven’t had the same opportunities as the rest of the tag team division. They can really shine and become a worthy adversary for the Young Bucks and other tag teams in the division if they are given the same opportunities.

  1. Jurassic Express (Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt)

Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy made their debut as a team on February 20th, 2019 in Bar Wrestling. There, they teamed with Solo Darling to form the team “Land Of The Lost.” On May 30th, 2019 at Bar Wrestling 36: Pickle Jar Hero, Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy made their debuts under their new tag team name A Boy And His Dinosaur.

Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy would then make their debuts in AEW as A Boy And His Dinosaur at Fight For The Fallen in a Three-Way Tag Team Match against Angélico and Jack Evans and Dark Order. On August 31 at All Out, Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy would then be joined by Marko Stunt, and with Marko Stunt part of the group, they would be known as Jurassic Express from that day forward.

Jurassic Express has won a number of matches by competing on Dynamite and Dark, but they haven’t been really given a major opportunity to earn a top spot in the company. With the team members having huge talents and great work ethic as well as being a crowd favorite, they should really be given a chance to compete at a higher level with the company’s top stars as well as be placed in the tag team title picture.

  1. Lance Archer

Lance Archer began his pro wrestling career in 2000, then competed for TNA/IMPACT Wrestling from 2004 until 2009 as Lance Hoyt. In 2010, Lance Hoyt left TNA and signed with WWE as Vance Archer. After his stint in WWE, he signed a contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he worked as Lance Archer.

All or most of his successes came from his stint in NJPW, where he captured the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Titles twice, the NWA World Tag Team Title twice and the IWGP United States Title once.

On February 26th, 2020, it was announced that Lance Archer has signed with All Elite Wrestling. Lance Archer then made his AEW debut on the March 11th episode of Dynamite as Jake Roberts’ client and then his in-ring debut on the April 1st episode of Dynamite, defeating Marko Stunt.

Lance Archer would then compete in a tournament for the first-ever TNT Championship and would make it all the way to the finals, but would come up short against “The American Nightmare” Cody. At All Out, Archer would then win the Casino Battle Royale to become the #1 Contender for the AEW World Title.

On October 14th at the Dynamite Anniversary Show, Lance Archer would once again come up short, losing to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley in a No Disqualification Match for Moxley’s AEW World Title.

Archer has had his share of opportunities to capture the TNT and AEW World Titles, but he has come up short time and time again. Archer is a once-in-a-million athlete and has fought his way to where he’s currently placed on the standing, but he deserves to win the big one someday and be the face of AEW.
