It was previously reported that following a Tag Team Match on AEW Dynamite, where Cody Rhodes and Lee Johnson defeated “Pretty” Peter Avalon and former WWE Star Cezar Bononi.
Pro wrestling legend and AEW talent “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson mentioned in a recent edition of Coach’s Corner that “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes “dinged his shoulder” early on in the match.
The All Elite Wrestling medical team would then confirm that Cody suffered a “slight tear of his left rotator cuff” during the match and that his status was listed as TBD.
In an update, it was revealed on Wrestling Observer Live that Rhodes is not expected to miss much if any, in-ring time due to the injury. Rhodes reportedly suffered the injury while taking a suplex from Bononi.
“The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes is set to team up with Red Velvet to battle Jade Cargill and NBA Legend Shaq on the March 3rd episode of Dynamite. Cody Rhodes is also set to participate in a virtual Valentine’s Day Party later today on the AEW Heels platform.
