WWE Reportedly Very Interested In Signing MJF, MJF Responds

Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast reports that WWE and FOX and USA Network officials have taken notice of AEW Star MJF and has shown interest in the WWE possibly signing the top AEW Star once his contract with All Elite Wrestling expires in 2024. It was then noted that MJF’s recent promo segments with CM Punk is what made these officials take interest in All Elite Wrestling’s top star.

Zarian revealed that he was asked if MJF’s AEW contract will really expire in 2024 and that a certain someone at either FOX or the USA Network said they actually stopped what they were doing and listened to MJF, which that person hasn’t done with pro wrestling in a long time. Zarian also mentioned that a WWE source told him there have been conversations about the promotion’s interest in MJF as of late as they are focused on new stars that can carry the company for years to come and they feel MJF will and can be that star because he has everything the WWE would want.

MJF has been with AEW since their inception back in 2019 and he is considered as one of the company’s top homegrown stars. AEW President and CEO Tony Khan has mentioned in past interviews that he intends of keeping MJF in the company when his contract expires in 2024. MJF himself even took to Twitter and responded to a tweet on Andrew Zarian’s report that his AEW contract is up in 2024, in which he said, “The bidding war of 2024.”
