This week’s episode of AEW Dark opens up with a recap of last week’s Singles Match between “Hangman” Adam Page and MJF, where the winner was presented with an AEW Dynamite Diamond Ring.
Tony Schiavone and Dasha Gonzalez then welcomed the fans to another edition of the show. We then get right into the action with a Singles Match between Jimmy Havoc and Brandon Cutler.
Jimmy Havoc def. Brandon Cutler in Singles action. After the match, Jimmy Havoc grabs the staple gun again and staples a $10,000 check on Cutler’s forehead. We then head backstage where Cutler asks Havoc why he did that. An authority figure of AEW then speaks to Havoc and says that he can’t do that ever again and if he continues to, he will get fined each time. Havoc doesn’t care and reiterates that if he is going to fight, he is going to fight.
We then get footage of The Dark Order’s recent video vignettes.
We then get a recap of last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite where we saw Cody Rhodes make his return to in-ring competition as well as the debut of BBB. We also see Dustin Rhodes calling out Jake Hager. Lastly, we see the highlights of The Chris Jericho vs. Scorpio Sky Match for the AEW World Title as well as Jon Moxley making his entrance after the match.
The next match of the evening is a Singles Match between Shawn Spears and Sonny Kiss.
Shawn Spears def. Sonny Kiss in a Singles Match. After the match, Spears spike piledrives Kiss on the outside and blows a kiss as he walks away.
We then get a Discovery Channel based documentary of Jurassic Express, which is the lead in to their main event match coming up next.
The featured match of this week’s episode of AEW Dark between Proud ‘N’ Powerful (Santana and Ortiz) vs. Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt) in a Tag Team Match is next.
Proud ‘N’ Powerful (Santana and Ortiz) def. Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt) in Tag Team action. After the match, Sammy Guevara makes his way down to the ring and helps Proud ‘N’ Powerful continue their attack on Jurassic Express. Not too long after, Luchasaurus makes his way down. Luchasaurus chokeslams and moon presses the Inner Circle. Jake Hager makes his way down to the ring. He and Luchasaurus have a stare-down before Hager hits first. Luchasaurus fires back with a few kicks. Santana and Ortiz get up along with Guevara and kicks Luchasaurus while he is down until the Young Bucks make their way down and superkick all of the Inner Circle. Stunt finishes the attacks with a low blow kick to Guevara.
