AEW Dark Results: July 21, 2020 – Butcher/Blade vs. Avalon/Cutler

This week’s episode of AEW Dark opens up with Excalibur and “The Human Suplex Machine” Taz welcoming the fans to another super-sized edition of the show.

We then get the first match of the evening, which is a Non-Title Women’s Division Singles Match between AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida vs. Rache Chanel.

The next match of the evening is a Singles Match between Kip Sabian vs. Corey Hollis.

We then see “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes run some drills with the Nightmare Sisters on the Jaguars football field. Dasha Gonzalez then comes up and asks them what their new alliance means. Brandi Rhodes then mentions that AEW has one of the best tag team divisions in wrestling, but what does that mean for the women. The Nightmare Sisters then say that they hope to continue improving on their 4-0 record.

The next match of the evening is a Tag Team Match between Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent) vs. Brady Pierce and Sabby.

The next match of the evening is a Singles Match between Ricky Starks vs. Will Hobbs.

The next match of the evening is a Singles Match between Scorpio Sky vs. Aaron Solow.

The next match of the evening is a Women’s Division Singles Match between Diamante vs. KiLynn King.

Robert Anthony then makes his way down to the ring for a Singles Match against Darby Allin. This will be Darby Allin’s first match since last May’s Double Or Nothing PPV Event. While making his entrance, Allin stares a hole through Taz on commentary. Taz then promises that he will be making a statement on Dynamite. Cage then says that “The Machine” will take care of him.

The next match of the evening is a Singles Match between Darby Allin vs. Robert Anthony.

Darby Allin def. Robert Anthony in a Singles Match. After the match, Brian Cage attacks Darby Allin from behind. Robert Anthony then goes to help Darby Allin out but Ricky Starks comes out of nowhere and takes Robert Anthony out. Brian Cage then hits several powerbombs on Darby Allin, then hands him off to Ricky Starks who hits the double-armed dominator. Ricky Starks and Brian Cage then bump fists and stand over Darby Allin.


The featured match of this week’s episode of AEW Dark between The Butcher and The Blade vs. “The Librarian” Peter Avalon and Brandon Cutler in a Tag Team Match is next.

The Butcher and The Blade def. “The Librarian” Peter Avalon and Brandon Cutler in a Tag Team Match. After the match, The Butcher and The Blade continue to assault Peter Avalon and Brandon Cutler, before calling the Young Bucks out.
