AEW Dynamite Results (12/11): Garland, Texas

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite opens up with an intro video.

Commentary then welcomes us to the show and discusses all of the matches and segments that will be taking place on the show.

Jon Moxley then makes his entrance for the opening match of the evening.

Jon Moxley def. Alex Reynolds via pinfall with the Paradigm Shift. After the match, John Silver tries for the sneak attack on Moxley, but Moxley lays him out with the Paradigm Shift as well. AEW World Champion Chris Jericho’s music hits and out comes Le Champion with the rest of the Inner Circle. Jericho says that he is just here to talk. He then recalls their long history and talks about Moxley coming to him “with your leather jacket and bowl cut hair.” Jericho then says that they then became enemies, but Moxley became a star. Jericho then says that he navigated Moxley to AEW. Jericho then says that he didn’t forget Moxley taking him out at Double or Nothing, but it showed him that Moxley still has a chip on his shoulder and is still a winner. Jericho then says that once again, Moxley needs him. The crowd boos that and he tells the crowd to shut up.

Jericho then says what if the Inner Circle and Moxley joined forces. Jericho then asks Moxley to join the group and brings out an Inner Circle shirt. The crowd isn’t for that move. Jericho then says that he wants Moxley to give it some thought. Jericho then tells Moxley to “talk with your lovely wife” and the Inner Circle will be waiting for his answer. Jericho then continues that they could take over AEW, if Moxley wants that. Jericho then puts the shirt on Moxley’s shoulder and backs away. Moxley looks to be considering it, but doesn’t give away much either way.

We then get a video package hyping up the Texas Street Fight between The Young Bucks and Proud ‘N’ Powerful for later in the broadcast. The winner of the match will face AEW World Tag Team Champions SCU on next week’s episode of Dynamite.

Commentary then runs down the rest of the matches that will be taking place on the show.

We then get the entrances for the next match of the evening.

MJF cuts a picture-in-picture promo as Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall make their way to the ring. MJF mocks Cody Rhodes for having to team with QT Marshall.

The Butcher and The Blade (Andy Williams and Pepper Parks) def. Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall via pinfall with a suplex / lungblower combination on QT Marshall. After the match, Darby Allin makes his way down to the ring and gets in Cody’s face (who is sitting down on the floor after the match). Allin then extends his hand and helps Cody up. Allin then stares at Cody for a moment, nods and goes to the back. Cody then noted that his usual family/friends haven’t been around lately when he looks for someone to help him up.

We then get a commercial break.

Back from the commercial break and Maxwell Jacob Friedman makes his entrance, flanked by Wardlow as usual.

MJF tells one of the cameraman assistants to come in the ring, MJF then says that he noticed him laughing last week when Cody made fun of MJF’s cross rhodes. MJF then tells the guy that all he has to do is kiss the AEW Diamond Ring, which he does. MJF then gives him a cross rhodes and tells the crowd that he thought that looked pretty good. MJF then calls the crowd “white trash hicks.” MJF then says that he heard Cody’s business proposal and that he doesn’t want Cody’s crap or his money. MJF then says that he has got enough to last him a lifetime. MJF then says that he wants Cody to suffer instead. MJF then brings up Cody calling him a “knockoff Chris Jericho.”

MJF then wonders if it’s the scarf as Cody called the scarf a fake, but MJF says that Cody embodies “fake” with his hair and his “teeth that you could land a helicopter on.” MJF then makes fun of Cody’s lisp by saying, “Oh! Suffering succotash, Cody! I’m sorry did I offend you?” MJF then says with a lisp. MJF then says that he knows Cody won’t fire him because he definitely couldn’t get his hands on him then. MJF then says that he will wrestle Cody, but he has some stipulations. MJF then says that he won’t announce them tonight, he will do it in Jacksonville on January 1st. MJF then says that he is in control now because he is better then Cody and Cody knows it.

We then get a commercial break.

Back from the commercial break and we get another Dark Order video vignette, in which Alex Reynolds is watching TV in his hotel room and the ad starts addressing him directly, talking about how the Dark Order have been watching the Beaver Boys lose and all they have to do is join the Dark Order. We then head backstage where Jen Decker is interviewing PAC. She wonders what message is PAC trying to send to Kenny Omega. PAC says that he came to the company for one reason and that is opportunity. PAC then says that yet since he has come here he has only suffered injustice, despite putting on dominating performances. PAC then says that this is his final warning and that he wants a rubber match with Kenny Omega once again. PAC then says that if they don’t give it to him, then he won’t be held accountable for what he does next.

We then get the entrances for the next match of the evening.

Shawn Spears looks behind him before making his way down to the ring, but Tully Blanchard is nowhere to be found. Somewhere backstage, Blanchard cuts a promo about putting together a great tag team and says that Spears is going to test Sabian to see if they could become the best tag team in the world.

Kenny Omega and “Hangman” Adam Page def. Kip Sabian and Shawn Spears via pinfall with Buck Shot Lariat from Page on Kip Sabian.

We then get a video vignette of Brandi Rhodes asking what the women’s division would look like without her. Brandi then wonders if AEW Women’s World Champion Riho has gotten so small that we can’t even see her now, wondering why she hasn’t defended her title recently. Brandi then rips on Britt Baker and says that she is a “pathetic groupie” with how much she mentions her boyfriend (Adam Cole). Brandi then tells Kris Statlander that the offer is still on the table to join the group as Melanie Cruise enters the scene (now with a shaved head). Brandi then looks to have added a new man to the Nightmare Collective, but his back is turned towards the camera and she says not yet.

AEW World Champion Chris Jericho and Jake Hager joins the commentary booth and kicks out Tony Schiavone and Excalibur from the broadcast position.

Sammy Guevara then makes his entrance to send us to a commercial break.

Back from the commercial break and the next match of the evening is underway.

Luchasaurus def. Sammy Guevara via pinfall with a swinging Tombstone facebuster. After the match, Jericho and Hager run to the ring and start brawling with Jurassic Express. Jericho and Jungle Boy then pair off and battle in the ring. Jericho then thinks he has tossed Jungle Boy out of the ring, but he comes back in and hits a snap hurricanrana. Marko Stunt then slides in for the fake 1-2-3 count. Jericho is not happy about what just happened.
