AEW TV RATINGS: Dynamite Finishes #1 For The Night, May 5th, 2021

Ratings for the Wednesday, May 5th, 2021 special Blood & Guts edition of AEW Dynamite were released today. According to a report by Showbuzz Daily, AEW finishing #1 for the night. The first time they have done that in the show’s history.

Dynamite drew 1,090,000 viewers up from last week’s 889,000 viewers. They finished 10th overall last week due to the Presidential Address. Dynamite was live this week at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville Florida. The show featured The Inner Circle vs The Pinnacle in a Blood & Guts match.

Based on the data a 0.42 is not the highest they have ever done, nor the 1 million viewers. On April 14th they did 1,219,000 with a 0.44. In December of 2020 they did a 0.45.

On Tuesday NXT drew 761,000 viewers up from last week’s 744,000 viewers. It finished 21st overall, last week they finished 11th. The show featured The Way defeating Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon in a Street Fight to become the New NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Based on the ratings, cable news had 3 of the top 15 shows. MSNBC had the #9 spot. FOX News had the 2 other spots at #4 and #7.

AEW won the night with MTV’s Challenge Double Agent coming in at #2. Real Housewives of New Jersey at #3 and Bargain Block on HGTV at #5.

Demographic breakdown:

Viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.42/ NXT: 0.18
Female viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.27
Male viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.58
Viewers 18-34 – AEW: 0.19
Female viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.10
Male viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.22
Viewers 25-54 – AEW: 0.50
Viewers 50+ – AEW: 0.43
