Vince McMahon retired from the WWE a few weeks ago and since then, Triple H has been in charge of the company’s creative. There were reportedly a number of concerns prior to Vince McMahon’s exit from the WWE, one of which is that the product would suffer because many, especially the stockholders, were of the belief that Vince McMahon had what no one else had and that the WWE would not function as well if McMahon was not in charge, but it looks like the product has not suffered one bit and the WWE will be fine without him.
Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that the backstage WWE mood has changed and has been great since Vince’s WWE departure and that he was actually a hindrance. Meltzer also noted that the product is better and the talent is very happy because a lot of the weird stuff that Vince McMahon used to do is gone and a lot of the stupidity is out the window.
This is what Dave Meltzer said:
“I think that we’re starting to learn, it really hit me…was that it really hit that Vince really was a hindrance.” “People sort of speculated and everything but when you see the difference in the mood over there. I think it’s a better product. For the most part, and there are exceptions there too because there’s people who are close to Vince but for the most part, the talent is very happy because a lot of the weird Vince-isms are gone that didn’t need to be there. A lot of the weird stupidity is out the window.”
WWE Stars are said to be very happy with what Triple H has done and some talents who are currently on the sidelines or inactive with the storylines realize that not everyone can get a push right away and with the other WWE Stars, but that they feel more secure with their spot than they were just a couple of months ago. The backstage atmosphere in the WWE right now is said to feel like a family, which was not the case a few months ago and everyone wants to see the company grow because it will reflect well on Triple H since he is someone who is beloved by most.
