While WWE superstars like The Rock, John Cena, and Dave Bautista have conquered Hollywood’s biggest stages, the women’s division has yet to produce a true crossover blockbuster star. Chelsea Green believes she’s the performer who can shatter that glass ceiling and pave the way for future generations of female WWE talent in Tinseltown.

Green’s Five-Year Hollywood Blueprint

During her recent appearance on the Lightweights Podcast with Joe Vulpis, Green laid out her ambitious entertainment industry goals. The WWE performer isn’t just dreaming about Hollywood – she’s actively planning her path to the silver screen.

Her vision extends far beyond quick cameos or wrestling-themed films. Green wants to establish herself as a legitimate actress who happens to have WWE credentials, rather than simply a wrestler trying to act.

Aiming for Crossover Superstardom

Green’s Hollywood aspirations come with realistic expectations and deep respect for those who’ve succeeded before her. She acknowledges the massive achievements of WWE’s male crossover stars while carving out her own unique path.

“In the next five years I hope to be the first female John Cena and Rock, not in terms of I don’t need to be that high, like that’s that’s pretty incredible right? But I would like to be the crossover talent for the females because we haven’t really seen that yet.”

This statement reveals Green’s understanding of the entertainment landscape and her desire to fill a significant gap in WWE’s Hollywood representation.

Recognizing the Pioneers

Green shows respect for WWE women who’ve already achieved crossover success in different entertainment sectors. The Bella Twins earned recognition for their ventures into reality television and business entrepreneurship, creating multiple revenue streams beyond wrestling.

However, Green identifies a crucial distinction between reality TV crossover success and legitimate Hollywood acting opportunities. She believes the acting realm remains largely untapped territory for WWE’s female talent.

“We saw the Bellas obviously cross over between WWE and reality TV, WWE and entrepreneurship. I think they’ve done amazing with that, but I don’t think we’ve truly seen a woman cross over and do WWE and Hollywood yet.”

Wrestling as a Stepping Stone

Perhaps most tellingly, Green views her WWE career as a launching pad rather than her final destination. Her long-term vision involves wrestling becoming just one chapter in a broader entertainment story.

“I would love to get into acting and like wrestling was just like a small part of my story by the time I’m 50.”

This perspective demonstrates Green’s serious commitment to acting and her understanding that successful crossover careers require dedication to multiple crafts.

Current WWE Women Making Hollywood Moves

Green isn’t the only WWE woman eyeing Hollywood opportunities. Liv Morgan recently completed filming for what appears to be a substantial role in the upcoming “Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo” movie, suggesting the industry is opening doors for WWE’s female performers.

Additionally, WWE interviewer Cathy Kelley has secured her first major Hollywood movie project, indicating that opportunities extend beyond just in-ring performers to other WWE personalities.

Breaking New Ground

Green’s Hollywood ambitions represent more than personal career goals – they could establish a new template for WWE women’s crossover success. While male WWE stars have proven their box office appeal, the women’s division has untapped potential waiting to be discovered by casting directors and producers.

Her journey could inspire other WWE women to pursue acting seriously, potentially creating a pipeline of crossover talent that mirrors the success of their male counterparts. Will Chelsea Green become the trailblazer who opens Hollywood’s doors for WWE’s next generation of female superstars?
