The wrestling world hasn’t heard much from Tegan Nox since her November 2024 WWE release, but there’s a compelling reason behind her extended absence. Unlike her fellow released superstars who quickly landed elsewhere, Nox faced unexpected personal challenges that forced wrestling to take an unwelcome backseat in her priorities.

Life-Changing Accident Altered Post-WWE Timeline

While Bishop Dyer transitioned into broadcasting with “Busted Open Radio” and Indi Hartwell signed with TNA Wrestling, Nox encountered a severe roadblock that changed everything. Her post-WWE journey took a dramatic turn when tragedy struck just days after her release.

“I went through quite a lot in the last couple of months … within days of being released, I was in a massive car wreck, so I’ve been sorting that out,”

The timing couldn’t have been worse for the Welsh wrestler. Instead of immediately capitalizing on her WWE exposure to secure new opportunities, Nox found herself dealing with the aftermath of a serious automobile accident that demanded her full attention.

Instagram Promo Reignites Wrestling Fire

Despite the setbacks, Nox recently discovered her passion for wrestling remains stronger than ever. A recent social media post served as both a reminder to fans and a wake-up call for herself about her true calling in the industry.

“Unfortunately, life has been so crazy that wrestling unfortunately did take a back step but when I released a promo on Instagram the other day, the feedback and the attraction that it got made me understand and prove to myself that I was right.”

The overwhelming response from wrestling fans reminded Nox why she fell in love with the business in the first place. That fan reaction became the catalyst she needed to refocus her energy on returning to the squared circle.

14-Year Veteran Ready to Take Control

Now approaching her 30th birthday, Nox brings extensive experience to her comeback story. Having started her wrestling journey at just 16 years old, she’s accumulated 14 years of in-ring knowledge that spans multiple promotions and continents.

The former WWE superstar acknowledges she may have let life’s complications overshadow her wrestling ambitions for too long. However, she’s determined to change that narrative moving forward.

“In my entire life I want to be wrestling related for as I physically can, whether it’s an active wrestler, producer, trainer … anything to do with wrestling. I do believe I put wrestling a bit too far back than I should’ve done, even though life’s rough; life’s rough for everyone.”

Multiple Paths Forward in Wrestling

Nox’s vision for her future extends beyond just competing in the ring. Her comprehensive understanding of the wrestling business opens doors to various roles within the industry, from backstage production to training the next generation of wrestlers.

This versatility could prove valuable as she rebuilds her career outside the WWE system. Many successful wrestling personalities have leveraged their in-ring experience into multifaceted roles within the industry.

Independent Scene Beckons

Rather than waiting for major promotions to come calling, Nox has adopted a proactive approach to her comeback. She’s already securing bookings with smaller wrestling companies, rebuilding her momentum from the ground up.

This grassroots approach allows her to shake off ring rust while demonstrating her commitment to potential larger promotions. Many wrestlers have successfully used the independent circuit as a launching pad back to major television deals.

Nox admits she should have been more aggressive in marketing herself following her WWE departure, but she’s making up for lost time now. With her health improving and her focus sharpened, could we see the former NXT standout make waves in a major promotion again soon? Her next moves will determine whether this comeback story becomes one of wrestling’s most inspiring redemption arcs.
