Vince McMahon Willing To Step Down If New Owner Is Not Interested In Keeping Him

WWE recently held their fourth quarter earnings call and one of the topics discussed is the potential sale of the company. During the call, WWE CEO Nick Khan was asked if Vince McMahon would step down in case the new owner of the company is not interested in keeping him and does not want him to be a part of the promotion. According to Nick Khan, if a situation such as that happens then Vince McMahon will step down, which dismisses any rumors of him wanting to take over the company’s creative once again.

WWE is hoping to have the company sold by mid-2023 and as of this writing there are several potential buyers still in the running such as Endeavor, Comcast, Disney, ESPN, All Elite Wrestling founders and owners Shad Khan and Tony Khan as well as Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, but there is no word yet on who is the favorite to buy the WWE and who would be interested in keeping Vince McMahon in the company and looking after certain aspects of the promotion such as creative.
