Former WWE NXT UK Star Flash Morgan Webster signed with the company in 2018 under the NXT UK umbrella before he was upgraded to an NXT deal in 2019 that lasted for three years. Flash Morgan Webster would then work a short extension with the WWE throughout the summer before re-signing with the WWE earlier this year. This past August 18, Morgan Webster was released from his WWE contract, along with several other WWE NXT UK Stars.
Fightful Select reports that during the time Morgan Webster was released he was still injured and the reason he signed a contract extension is to make sure he was taken care of during the injury process, but that doesn’t seem to be the case any longer. The report also indicates that even though Flash was medically cleared by the surgeon shortly before he was released, his physician didn’t.
Morgan Webster was sidelined with an injury last year and hasn’t worked a match since October. During the time of his contract extension, Webster reportedly passed on two new deals with WWE that included pay increases. WWE usually doesn’t release talent who are still injured or recovering from an injury, but they did so with Webster as he was said to be nowhere near being able to return to action.
