AEW Announces Cody Rhodes Is Injured

Last Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite saw “The American Nightmare” Cody face Wardlow in a Steel Cage Match and come out of the match with a win. Cody Rhodes would then take to his Instagram and reveal that he suffered a small fracture in his big toe after delivering the huge moonsault to Wardlow from the top of the cage. Cody Rhodes also said that he’s on a treatment plan and he has been cleared for action.

All Elite Wrestling would then take to Twitter and note that based on what Cody Rhodes and Dr. Sampson said, Cody has indeed injured his big toe. AEW also said that Cody’s status is that he is cleared for action as tolerated. Dr. Sampson would also take to Twitter and say that with the moonsault Cody delivered off the top of the steel cage there could have been worse injuries.

MJF also took to Twitter and responded to Cody’s injury by posting the “eyes emoji” as the caption. Cody is currently set to face MJF at this coming Saturday’s AEW Revolution PPV.
