AEW Announces When Cody Will Receive Ten Lashes From MJF

“The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes has been wanting to get his hands on MJF ever since MJF betrayed Cody by throwing in the towel and stopping the AEW World Title Match Cody had against AEW World Champion Chris Jericho at Full Gear.

Due to Cody’s loss, he can never challenge Chris Jericho for the AEW World Title again as long as Jericho is the AEW World Champion, based on the match stipulations. Since then, things have gotten more heated, more personal and more physical between Cody Rhodes and MJF, but an actual match has yet to happen between the two.

About a few weeks ago on Dynamite, MJF had an in-ring segment, where he finally revealed three stipulations that Cody Rhodes must agree to prior to them meeting in a singles match at Revolution.

The stipulations are: Cody can’t touch MJF before their match, Cody has to face Wardlow in a Steel Cage Match, and finally, Cody has to take ten lashes from MJF on live TV. Speaking of the Steel Cage Match, it was announced during last Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite that the match between Cody and Wardlow is set to tale place on February 19 in Atlanta, Georgia during an episode of Dynamite.

All Elite Wrestling recently took to Twitter and revealed that on the February 5th episode of Dynamite in Huntsville, Alabama, Cody Rhodes will be receiving the ten lashes from MJF. Cody Rhodes has since took to Twitter as well and commented on the lashing.
