This total is down 30.95% from last week’s 2nd Anniversary episode of AEW Dynamite, which drew a 0.28 rating in the 18-49 key demo. Last Saturday’s 0.28 rating is down 24.32% from last week’s 0.37 rating in the 18-49 key demo. Last Saturday’s rating of 0.28 in the 18-49 key demo represents around 366,000 total viewers that watched last Saturday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite from that demo. This is down 23.75% from last week’s 480,000 total viewers in the 18-49 key demo.
Last Saturday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured the bracket for the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament being revealed, CM Punk making his return to commentary, Hangman Page addressing his match at Full Gear with AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, Penelope Ford facing Kiera Hogan in Singles action, Jon Moxley battling Wheeler Yuta in Singles action, Malakai Black taking on Dante Martin in a one-on-one match, AEW World Tag Team Champions Lucha Brothers defending the AAA Tag Team Titles against Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood of FTR, SuperKliq’s Adam Cole and The Young Bucks taking on Dark Order’s Alex Reynolds, Evil Uno and John Silver in Trios action, The Inner Circle reuniting against Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky of Men Of The Year and Dan Lambert’s American Top Team and Bryan Danielson battling Bobby Fish in Singles action, which was the main event.
The viewership number of last Saturday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite that drew an audience this low and that was the April 7th episode, which was able to draw 688,000 viewers with a 0.28 rating and was the final episode that aired against WWE NXT, was down 11.98% from the same week in 2020, which would compete against NXT at the time and which aired on the normal Wednesday night timeslot, while the key 18-49 demo rating was down 6.66% from the same week in 2020.

To compare, the Saturday night episode of AEW Dynamite that took place before last Saturday’s episode that aired on June 26th was able to draw a total of 649,000 viewers with a 0.21 key demo rating. This past Saturday night’s episode of Dynamite was up 12.02% in viewership as well as up 33.33% in the key demo rating from the June 26th Saturday night Dynamite episode. This past Saturday night’s episode of Dynamite also drew a better rating than the Friday night Dynamite episodes from last May and June.

Dynamite’s viewership was higher than last time it was preempted to Saturday, on June 26, when it was watched by 649,000 (12% higher this time) and 277,000 in the demo (32% higher this time).
