Last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was able to draw a total of 984,000 viewers, while last Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite episode was able to draw a total of 898,000 viewers, reports Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.
This total is down 8.73% from last week’s AEW Dynamite episode, which drew a 0.31 rating in the 18-49 key demo. Last Wednesday night’s rating of 0.31 is down 16.21% from last week’s rating of 0.37 in the key 18-49 demo. Last Wednesday night’s rating of 0.31 in the 18-49 key demo represents around 408,000 total viewers that watched this past Wednesday night’s Dynamite from that demo. This is down 15% from last week’s 480,000 total viewers in the 18-49 key demo.
Last Wednesday night’s Thanksgiving Eve episode of AEW Dynamite featured CM Punk vs. QT Marshall, AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker and Tony Schiavone in a Friendsgiving Segment, Bryan Danielson vs. Colt Cabana, Thunder Rosa vs. Jamie Hayter in an AEW TBS Title Tournament Quarterfinal Match and Cody Rhodes, PAC and AEW World Tag Team Champions Lucha Brothers (Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix) going up against Andrade El Idolo, Malakai Black and AAA World Tag Team Champions FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) in an 8-Man Tag Team Match, which was the main event.
The viewership number of this past Wednesday night’s Thanksgiving Eve episode of Dynamite, which drew the lowest key demo rating and the second-lowest audience for a Wednesday night episode since July 7, was up 26.48% from the same week in 2020, which competed against WWE’s NXT brand at the time in head-to-head battle, while the key 18-49 demo rating was up 19.23% from the same week in 2020. Last year’s Thanksgiving Eve episode of Dynamite was down 16.5% in total viewership from the week before and down 30% in the key 18-49 demo rating from the previous week. AEW Dynamite’s viewership has yet to reach 1 million total viewers since the show started airing live on the West Coast on October 27th.
Last Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite ranked #6 for the night on the Cable Top 150, with a 0.31 rating in the 18-49 key demo, which is down from last week’s #3 ranking. Last Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite ranked #42 in viewership for the night on cable, which is down from last week’s #33 ranking.

Earlier reported fast nationals, which are almost always lower than finals, had Dynamite at 809k and 344k in 18-49.
The difference between finals and fast nationals was +11% for total viewership and +19% for P18-49, among the greatest differences we've seen since fast nationals, which are ordered at an added expense to the Nielsen customer, started leaking for AEW programs.

P18-49 for Dynamite on Thanksgiving Eve was however the show's lowest in its normal Wednesday time slot since the May 19 episode did a 0.28 rating.
