Last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was able to draw a total of 898,000 viewers, while last Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite episode was able to draw a total of 861,000 viewers, reports Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

This total is down 4.12% from last week’s Thanksgiving Eve episode of AEW Dynamite, which drew a 0.31 rating in the 18-49 key demo. Last Wednesday’s rating of 0.31 is even with last week’s rating of 0.31 in the key 18-49 demo. Last Wednesday’s rating of 0.31 in the 18-49 key demographic represents around 406,000 total viewers that watched last Wednesday night’s Dynamite from that demo. This is down 0.49% from last week’s 408,000 total viewers in the 18-49 key demo.

Last Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured AEW World Champion Hangman Page replacing Jim Ross on commentary, Bryan Danielson vs. Dark Order’s Alan “5” Angels, CM Punk vs. Lee Moriarty, Darby Allin and Sting vs. Gunn Club members Billy Gunn and Colten Gunn, Ruby Soho vs. Kris Statlander in an AEW TBS Championship Tournament Quarterfinal Match and Cody Rhodes vs. Andrade El Idolo in an Atlanta Street Fight, which was the main event.

The viewership number of last Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite, which drew the lowest viewership on a normal timeslot since May 19 and the same key demo rating with last week’s Dynamite show for the lowest key demo rating since May 19 and the lowest 18-49 demo rating also since May 19, was down 5.7% from the same week in 2020, which competed against WWE’s NXT brand in head-to-head competition at the time, while the key 18-49 demo rating was down 26.2% from the same week in 2020.

This was a rare week, where the Dynamite audience and the key demo rating were down in the exact same week last year. The episode of Dynamite from the same week in 2020 was the inaugural Winter Is Coming special. The viewership of AEW Dynamite hasn’t reached 1 million total viewers since the show started airing live on the West Coast on October 27th.

Last Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite ranked #3 for the night on the Cable Top 150, with a 0.31 rating in the 18-49 key demo, which is up from last week’s #6 ranking. Last Wednesday’s Dynamite episode ranked #40 in viewership for the night on cable, which is up from last week’s #42 ranking.
