AEW Forms A Working Relationship With DDT Pro Wrestling

DDT Pro Wrestling, a Japan-based pro wrestling promotion, had their 25th Anniversary show last Sunday from Tokyo, Japan and during the show, Christopher Daniels, AEW’s VP of Talent Relations, made a huge announcement that AEW has formed a brand-new working relationship with DDT Pro Wrestling, in which we will see top talents from the promotion travel to the United States to wrestle for AEW. Daniels would also note that he is looking forward to introducing the top talent from DDT to the American wrestling fanbase in All Elite Wrestling.

AEW Star Michael Nakazawa, who also competed at this past Sunday’s DDT Pro Wrestling 25th Anniversary Show, when he lost an I’m Sorry Match to DDT President Sanshiro Takagi, revealed right after the bout that he and AEW EVP Kenny Omega reached a deal for the two promotions to work together. AEW EVP Kenny Omega actually started to make a name for himself in DDT Pro Wrestling as that is where he formed the Golden Lovers tag team with top NJPW Star Kota Ibushi and won a number of titles in both the tag team division and the singles division.

All Elite Wrestling has worked with several pro wrestling promotions in the past such as IMPACT, NJPW and the NWA and with the recent news that AEW President and CEO Tony Khan has purchased ROH, it would be interesting to see how the company goes about their working relationship with DDT and what is next for AEW.
