AEW Made Company History With Last Saturday’s Collision

All Elite Wrestling usually holds tapings for their weekly episode of Rampage immediately after their live episode of Dynamite each and every Wednesday night on TBS and airs the taped show two days later on TNT, then airs a live episode of Collision each and every Saturday night on TNT, but the promotion would change things up a bit by airing a live episode of Rampage on Friday night on TNT, hold tapings for Collision and air the show on their usual timeslot of Saturday night at 8PM ET on TNT.

Dave Meltzer stated on a recent Wrestling Observer Radio Program that All Elite Wrestling has changed up their local marketing strategy quite a bit and they have really started to ramp up local promotion like having Powerhouse Hobbs take part in a number of media appearances over the last couple of days. Meltzer also confirmed WrestleTix’s report that this past Saturday’s Collision was the second-biggest walk-up for an AEW television show in company history. Meltzer then stated that the show did not draw as much as the WWE has done in the past and the promotion may not be as hot as it once was, but it is not as cold as people say it is either.

Last Saturday night’s episode of Collision saw “The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland, Darby Allin and “The Icon” Sting vs. The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) and “The Murderhawk Monster” Lance Archer in a Trios Match in the main event.
