AEW/NJPW’s Forbidden Door Completely Sells Out In Minutes

As previously reported, pre-sale tickets for AEW and NJPW’s Forbidden Door PPV went on sale this past Thursday morning and it sold out in just under 40 minutes, according to a report from WrestleTix. The queue had about 20,000 people waiting to get their hands on the tickets, but the company only has the event setup for 14,000 people and AEW President Tony Khan noted that 11,000 tickets have already been sold.

During yesterday’s ticket selling to the general public, the 3000 remaining tickets from the pre-sale sold out in just a matter of minutes. AEW could be releasing more seats to the public in the next few weeks or they could even try to expand the seating map depending on the production.

All Elite Wrestling has had a working relationship with NJPW since the promotion was launched back in 2019 and since then top stars from both promotions have appeared on the other show such as Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho appearing in New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), and Satoshi Kojima, KENTA, Ren Narita, Rocky Romero and Minoru Suzuki appearing in AEW.

AEW/NJPW’s Forbidden Door Event is set to take place on Sunday, June 26 from inside the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
