AEW Rampage Viewership Up For The First Show Of 2022

Last week’s New Year’s Smash AEW Rampage was able to draw a total of 453,000 viewers, while this past Friday’s episode of AEW Rampage was able to draw a total of 588,000 viewers, reports Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

This total is up 12.14% from last week’s New Year’s Smash AEW Rampage, which drew a rating of 0.24 in the 18-49 key demo. Last Friday’s 0.24 rating is up 26.31% from last week’s episode of Rampage, which drew a 0.19 rating in the key 18-49 demo. This past Friday’s 0.24 rating in the key 18-49 demographic represents around 308,000 total viewers that watched Rampage last Friday, which is up 23.2% from last week’s 250,000 total viewers in the 18-49 key demo, with a 0.19 rating.

Last Friday’s taped AEW Rampage from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, which was the first episode of 2022, featured Adam Cole vs. Jake Atlas, Hook vs. Aaron Solo, Riho and Ruby Soho vs. Jamie Hayter and AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. and Daniel Garcia and 2point0 (Matt Lee and Jeff Parker) vs. Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz in a No DQ, No Rules, No Holds Barred Matchup, which was the main event.

This past Friday night’s AEW Rampage ranked #7 for the night on the Cable Top 150, with a 0.24 rating in the 18-49 key demo, which is up from last week’s #21 ranking. This past Friday night’s AEW Rampage ranked #63 in viewership for the night on cable, which is even from last week’s #63 ranking.

Last Friday’s AEW Rampage episode drew the best audience and key demographic rating since the Holiday Bash episode, which aired on a Saturday night and for the regular Friday night timeslot, the show was able to draw the best audience since the November 5 episode and the best key demographic rating since October 29.
