All Elite Wrestling has built their roster from signing a number of former WWE Stars such as CM Punk, Adam Cole, Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, Brian Danielson, Tay Conti and Ruby Soho and it seems that they are not done yet as there are three more former WWE female stars AEW is interested in signing. It has been reported by Fightful Select that AEW officials have significant interest in signing someone like Toni Storm and the interest is so strong that several AEW wrestlers already expect Toni Storm to join the company sooner than later as not only is there an interest from company officials, but there were also numerous AEW wrestlers who have been pushing for Storm to be signed. Storm requested her release from the WWE last December and it was granted and it is believed that she just recently became a free agent with her 90-day non-compete clause expiring.
Another former WWE Star that All Elite Wrestling has been interested in is Athena (Ember Moon) and it has been rumored that she will sign with the company soon as there have been small talks between both sides and those close to the situation have noted that there was a “feeling out” process between both sides shortly after she was released from her WWE contract last November 4. Moon’s 90-day non-compete clause with the WWE expired in early February and she has since been competing on the Indies. There’s no word yet on if AEW will definitely be signing Athena, but people within the company have said that there doesn’t seem to be a sense of urgency to bring her in and promoters have even said that Moon is being very selective in her indie bookings.
Nixon Newell (Tegan Nox) is another former WWE Star that has been a topic of discussion in AEW and in women’s wrestling, but as of a few weeks ago she was dealing with Visa issues, which has been the key issue for wrestlers who suddenly become free agents more than often deal with. There’s no word yet on if promotions such as AEW, ROH or even IMPACT Wrestling may have any significant interest in bringing her in, but updates will be provided once it has been made available. WWE released Tegan Nox from her contract last November 18 and she hasn’t competed in a match since. Last February 16, Newell became a free agent, when her 90-day non-compete clause with the WWE expired.
