AEW Star Anthony Bowens Reportedly Undergoes Knee Surgery

All Elite Wrestling President and CEO Tony Khan recently revealed that AEW wrestler Anthony Bowens of The Acclaimed has been out of action due to a knee injury, which is why The Acclaimed has disappeared and has not been featured on AEW TV as of late.

According to PWInsider.com, Anthony Bowens recently underwent knee surgery and the hope is he will be returning to in-ring action in about 6-8 weeks. After working a number of matches on AEW Dark, Bowens and Max Caster got noticed and they got their big break when they were featured on Dynamite.

On the December 16th, 2020 episode of Dynamite, which was their debut, they defeated SCU (Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian) in Tag Team action and they even challenged The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championships the following week, but came up short.

Anthony Bowens’ last match for AEW with Max Caster took place on the February 4th episode of Dynamite when they lost to Chris Jericho and MJF. Updates will be provided as it becomes available.
